The Weber family has been our customer for years.  Recently, Mike Weber produced a homemade video about his experiences with Mednicks Plumbing.

Run time  -  1 Minute

Wow.  Thanks Mike for the kind words!

Great to see that you’re so pleased with our plumbing service that you took the time to make this video.

Recommendations and referrals from our customers  is the highest praise.  Much appreciated.

Do you like taking cold showers? Of course not, that’s why you run (wait for) the hot water for a few minutes before stepping into the shower.

No one likes to wait.

If you have always had to wait for hot water, you probably just accept it.  You might not even know there is a way to solve this problem.  Or you may just assume (I don’t blame you if you do) that if a solution was available, it would cost too much.

No one likes waste.

Have you stopped to think what happens to the gallons of water that runs down the drain during the wait?

Water is wasted, and if your family takes four showers per day, that can add up to thousands of gallons per year. This waste multiplied over just a few hundred homes adds up to a significant loss.  Your neighborhood alone pours millions of gallons of water down the drain and into the wastewater system every single year.

In typical plumbing, water is pumped from the water heater through the pipes to your shower. Once the shower or bath is shut off, the water remaining in the pipes cools back down to the temperature in your home.  A water temperature of 68 to 72 degrees feels really cold in the shower.  A comfortable temperature doesn’t come until hot water travels the whole distance from the hot water heater to your shower.

In California, and especially here in Southern Cal,  water conservation is critical.

Water conservation is required in most our of the cities in San Diego County.   Limited landscape watering days and penalties for wasting water is today’s reality.

People are encouraged to find any reasonable means to eliminate waste and find areas where they can reduce their water consumption.  Many families have gone beyond the mandated (minimum) water saving efforts.  Although I can’t find any saving measures that directly benefit the homeowner like recirculated hot water.

Mednick’s Plumbing can eliminate your wait for hot water and at the same time give you another way to conserve water.

We buy and install recirculating pumps.  A recirculating (recirc) pump constantly circulates hot water through the pipes from the heater to the furthest fixture.  The whole house (not just the shower) gets hot water at the ready.  A properly installed recirc pump keeps the water in your pipes hot which means:

  1. No more waiting for the shower to get hot.  And for those of you often run late in the morning you’ll find that extra minute or two when you need it the most.
  2. No more wasting water before jumping into the shower.  You found another way to do your your part to conserve water.

Call the number here at Mednick’s Plumbing (760) 630-4247 and I can walk you through your options.  You’ll get the information you need to make the best decision for your family and perhaps, our environment.

Word of Mouth

Mednick’s Plumbing doesn’t go around spending money creating crazy commercials or buying advertisements offering coupons with deep discounts.

We avoid playing the game used by the big spending, marketing machine plumbers.  Why go toe-to-toe with those who overcharge only so they can afford their huge advertising bills?

That’s just wasted money, time, and effort.  And guess who we would have to charge extra to cover those costs?

We’re too busy serving our customers to stray off course on some half-baked advertising scheme.

These numbers don’t lie.  During the first 7 months of 2009 we did over 90% of our business with repeat customers and their referrals.  Other plumbers would kill for those numbers.

We didn’t hurt anybody to reach those numbers, in fact, we did it while keeping the focus off us and fixed on serving our customers.  Seriously, making one happy homeowner after another works – in the long run.

To all our returning customers and those spreading the good word about us:

Thank You So Much!

Your repeat business and referrals feel like a pat on the back for all our jobs well done.  We also feel your vote of confidence in the way we do business.

We will keep treating our customers like family, and you’ll keep coming back and telling your friends.  Everything will work out well for all of us – well, except for those in the advertising business!

Square One

Mednick’s Plumbing Inc. – it all  started over 10 years ago when Nick Medina took the leap from plumbing pro to Licensed Contractor.  That’s more than ten years of service before making our first post online.

From day one Mednick’s Plumbing conducted business from a page right out of how things were done in the ‘good old days’ with the focus on the customer and their needs.

Never has Mednick’s employed Salespeople to take your call.  Instead, a plumber goes over your questions with you and walks you through what to do next.  And unlike with salespeople, our answer doesn’t always include a bill for service.

So since we’re a little old school, please pardon us for being a bit late in embracing the internet.  It’s only now that we know we can use this media to help our customers.  We will leave them to sell themselves.

Little-by-little we will inject our stories, plumbing maintenance knowledge and helpful prevention tips to make our site a trusted resource, a place to turn to for answers – just like we have done in person for over 10 years.
